UK hosts meeting on universal access in Southern and Eastern Africa

In an event hosted by the Department for International Ministers, academics, activists, the pharmaceutical industry and the donor community gathered at the House of Lords. The meeting confirms the need to accelerate action to achieve universal access, reach the 10 million people still not accessing treatment and increase efforts to prevent new HIV infections through evidence and rights-based interventions. The group recognises that scaled-up financing and political leadership will be critical to reaching universal access.
