Fast-Track

The Fast-Track approach, launched by UNAIDS, aims to avert 28 million new HIV infections and 21 million AIDS-related deaths by 2030 by focusing and prioritising prevention and treatment efforts in the first five years of the strategy.

The approach comes with a set of targets for 2020. These are for 90% of people living with HIV to know their HIV status; 90% of people who know their HIV-positive status to be on treatment; and 90% of people on treatment to have suppressed viral loads.
