19 countries achieve 90-90-90 targets
The UNAIDS 2021 report shows that 19 countries achieved the 90–90–90 targets by 2020, in which 90% of people with HIV know their diagnosis, 90% of diagnosed people are should be on antiretroviral therapy (ART) and 90% of those on ART should be virally suppressed by 2020. The report notes that these countries have led in combining facility-based services with complementary community-led services, and most have also focused on key populations as a central part of their responses.
