Half a million copies
Half a million copies of the AVERT training manual, ‘AIDS: Working with Young People’, first published in 1990, have now been distributed around the world. In 1992, the publication is recommended by the World Health Organization and translated and distributed by the Norwegian Department of Health. The manual is a collection of health education materials for young people aged 14 and above which encourages discussion about HIV and AIDS and helps young people to develop skills to protect their health.
