AVERT founded

AVERT is founded by Annabel and Peter Kanabus, who are motivated by a personal interest in HIV and AIDS. The couple establish the charity as they recognise that very few charities are working on HIV and AIDS in the UK, and even fewer are working outside of the gay community. The charity is initially run from the attic of the Kanabus’ farmhouse.
