India decriminalises homosexuality

India’s Supreme Court overturns section 377 of the country's Penal Code, ending a 150-year-old law banning homosexuality. The breakthrough is not long-lived: in 2013, India re-criminalises adult same-sex sexual relationships, making it difficult for men who have sex with men to access HIV prevention, treatment and care.
