Treatment for all

The World Health Organization publishes new guidelines recommending that anyone infected with HIV should begin antiretroviral treatment as soon after diagnosis as possible. This ‘treat-all’ recommendation responds to findings from clinical trials confirming that early use of antiretrovirals keeps people living with HIV healthier and reduces the risk of transmitting the virus to others.
