Diana breaks stigma

Despite efforts on the part of the UK government (and elsewhere), to inform people on the ways HIV can be transmitted, many still fear touching people with HIV and AIDS. In one simple act, Princess Diana helps to shift some of these negative attitudes – which are largely based on fear and ignorance. She shows that people living with HIV are normal people, who should be treated with respect and compassion.
