DATA: HIV prevalence in men who have sex with men

The Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the USA announces new estimates for lifetime HIV risk in the USA. They predict that one in six men who have sex with men will face an HIV diagnosis in their lifetime. However, black men who have sex with men face the greatest risk of all, with one in two expected to be diagnosed in their lifetime. The CDC stresses that these estimates need not become reality, as scaling up prevention in these communities could stop these new infections from happening.
